Two more bills were added to the Senate Special Order Calendar this afternoon for votes as early as this Wednesday, April 17.
Email or call your Senator and urge that he or she vote NO on SB 7030 - School Safety and Security and vote NO on SB 7068 – Transportation.
SB 7030 - School Safety and Security Deletes language prohibiting teachers from participating in the armed Guardian program enacted last year. Raises concerns for safety of students and faculty when law enforcement officers are attempting to secure a school facility or campus.
SB 7068 - Transportation Funds three toll roads through rural Florida that will accelerate urban sprawl in the last of Florida’s undeveloped areas and fragment landscape and wildlife habitat. These projects could cost over $3 billion taking away from General Revenue which funds state parks, education, health care, and hurricane emergency relief.
