Calls needed

Indivisible St. Johns got info from a meeting with State Rep. Stevenson's staff yesterday. They sent this truly URGENT alert: You can call anytime this week-end day or night. Just leave a message.

1)      In regards to HB 7089 (The one that impacts our vote on Amendment 4) only 3 people have contacted the local office to register their opposition. THIS IS READY TO MOVE TO THE FLOOR! You need to call RIGHT NOW!

2)      In regards to HB 57 &7111 (These seek to limit the abilities of regular Floridians to organize to pass constitutional amendments- think amendment 4 and our efforts for Medicaid Expansion) We need to be calling about this in droves, if these bills were to pass we hand over our ability to make any real changes in a one party dominated state government.

3)      In regards to HB 7093 (This is the one that allows the arming of public school teachers) THIS IS READY TO MOVE TO THE FLOOR! You need to call RIGHT NOW!

4)      In regards to HB 603 (This one is the house companion to Travis Hutson's senate bill that would stop bans on single use plastics until a 5 year study is completed) Absolutely horrific and totally backwards. There has not been much feedback in the local office about this one. Please call the local office to register your opposition.

You can contact Cyndi Stevenson's local office by phone at (904) 823-2300. Her Tallahassee office phone is: 850-717-5017. If you need to leave a voicemail start your message with Hi, I'm __________ and I live at ______________ so they know you are a constituent. Then use the information above to leave your own message.

If your State Rep. is Paul Renner, His local number is: 386-446-7644; and 850-717-5024 in Tallahassee.
I phoned 4 times, one per issue. I called the local office twice and the Tallahassee office twice. Took me less than 10 minutes total. Don't do all 4 in one phone call; it's too much and dilutes your power.  NOW's the time! -Warren
