Standing in Solidarity with Charlottesville

This weekend, hate groups and domestic terrorists of all stripes went to Charlottesville, VA to push their dangerous message of white supremacy, fascism, anti-Semitism, and bigotry.
When they got there they waged violence on unarmed anti-racists, killing several and injuring many others. We mourn for the lives that were lost, and we will honor all those under attack by congregating against hate in our own communities.
That these groups feel their way of life - the worship of confederate idols, the notion that any race is superior to others - is dying, is a sign of the slow, painstaking progress we’ve made as a country to move beyond our oppressive past. We have so much more work to do to move towards liberation, and we will not let their hatred hold us all back.
Tonight and tomorrow, Indivisible groups, along with our friends at Women’s March, Democracy for America, Working Families Party, Resist Here, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, Million Hoodies and others will come together in solidarity with our brave friends in Charlottesville who put themselves at risk to fight against white supremacy.
It’s important that we unite and send a message to other racists and fascists out there: we will win, and we are bonded together in our commitment against oppression.

Yours in the struggle,The Indivisible Team
