Jacksonville – Florida Constitutional Revision Commission Hearing

What do you think should be in Florida’s constitution?

The Constitutional Revision Commission is holding a town hall with Floridians in Jacksonville on Thursday, April 27. Now is the time for ACLU supporters to make their voices heard on important civil liberties issues.

Every twenty years, the commission is appointed to examine the Florida Constitution, hold public hearings, and possibly recommend changes to the Florida Constitution for voter consideration. The Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) is a group of 37 people appointed to review and recommend changes to the Florida Constitution.

Critical civil liberties issues — including, reproductive rights, privacy, LGBT rights, voting rights, and immigrants’ rights — could be at stake during a constitutional revision.  We need ACLU supporters in Jacksonville to show up for the town hall on Thursday, April 27.

Time:
Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Location:
Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ), Kent Campus Auditorium Building F, Room 128
3939 Roosevelt Boulevard Jacksonville, FL 32205
