HELP DRUG COURT
KEEP OFFENDERS MOTIVATED
JUST A SMALL INCENTIVE
MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE:

Donate gift cards/certificates for Drug Court incentives. More often
than not, incentives like a gift certificate to a movie or event can remind
a struggling drug offender that there’s fun and beauty to be had in life
if they can stay clean. These or check donations can be dropped off to
St. Johns Legal Aid anytime Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
or mailed to
Jacksonville Area Legal Aid
222 San Marco Avenue
St Augustine FL 32084

Please be sure they are marked/noted as
"to Megan Wall for Drug Court."

Message from Megan Wall, Attorney:

Hello friends--if you or your faith organizations or civic organizations or friends or anyone can assist with donations to the Drug Court participants that would be overwhelmingly wonderful!  $10, $15, $20 gift certificates for gas, food, even wholesome activities like bowling or movies (instead of drugs and using) would be most helpful to their recovery.  Judge Christine runs this program and would like to have some "rewards" (instead of just punishment and stays in jail and such) to incentivize these recovering folks with their treatment  Thanks so much--Megan

HERE'S SOME GOOD NEWS!
STAY for James Dailey!

Statement of Attorney for James Dailey in response to the U.S. District Court
for the Middle District of Florida’s Grant of a
Stay of Execution until December 30, 2019:

“We are grateful that the U.S. District Court for the Middle District has granted
a stay to allow Mr. Dailey's newly appointed federal counsel time to present
his new and substantial claims of innocence, so that they may finally
be heard on the merits.
We urge the Attorney General and Governor DeSantis not to appeal or
otherwise oppose this limited stay in order to allow Mr. Dailey’s case to proceed
under the timeline directed by the Court.”
-- Carol Wright, Chief Attorney, Capital Habeas Unit, Middle District of Florida
October 23, 2019
