Indivisible St Johns invites you to a great meeting 3/1/18 at the UU from 7-9PM

Hi everyone,

Despite the sadness and outrage of the last week over the shootings in Parkland, we're inspired and resolutely stand behind the thousands of high school students who have been brave and vocal in their many protests and events. If you missed CNN's special last night (2/21) try to catch it. Indivisible St Johns calls on all our legislators to start doing their jobs and the calls, emails, resistbots, letters and postcards are flooding their offices! Keep up the pressure and support common sense gun regulation.

We've got a great meeting Thursday night, 3/1 at the UU on A1A (2487 A1A S, St Augustine, FL 32080). An agenda will follow but we wanted to mention a few things:

Vicky Oakes, our great supervisor of elections, will address our concerns about electronic security for the 2018 elections.

We will hear from the attorney working with our local family facing deportation after their daughter graduates high school: http://digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODN/StAugustineRecord/shared/ShowArticle.aspx?doc=SAR%2F2018%2F01%2F23&entity=Ar00101&sk=453CF98E&mode=text

We'll talk about the results of our survey (do it if you haven't already! We all need your input and energy) and the future of Indivisible St Johns.

This will lead us into our discussion of plans forming to support, not lead, the students of our county in their activism for safety in our schools. This is where you are most important: telling your friends and neighbors to come out and show these students we have their backs.

We think this time is different and the best way to ensure that is to stand behind all the students in our county and across the nation. Be there with us.
