Activist to-dos for the week
- Find out where your senators stand on Kavanaugh -- and then
start lighting up their phone lines this Monday
to demand they say NO on moving his nomination a single step forward. Call
1-844-778-3056 to be directly connected with your senators.
- Share your thoughts on Indivisible’s post-election
strategy. Take our survey and help us begin to chart our
post-election strategy -- for the lame duck Congress, first 100 days, and
all the way to 2020. ANY MEMBER CAN DO THIS!
- Don’t wait another moment to register to vote. Help your friends and family
get registered, too! Check out our voter registration tool at indivisible.turbovote.org to get started. ANY MEMBER CAN
DO THIS TOO!
We want to hear from you!
We’ve gotten so many
responses since last week! Thank you so much for helping us shape our next
chapter. But we still need another solid push of responses to get as many
different views -- Indivisible group members, group leaders, and even every day
supporters of the Indivisible movement -- to make sure that we’re getting the
best possible input on our post-election strategy.
If you haven’t yet, and only if you haven’t, can you set a
few minutes aside today to take this survey? You’ve been with us every step of the way, and now we want your
input as our team dives into what our work should look like after the midterms. ANY MEMBER CAN DO THIS TOO!

Help find us our next fellows!
The Indivisible Organizing
Team is in search of candidates for our fellowship program this fall. We’re
looking for dynamic individuals who are excited to support local Indivisible
groups and develop key organizing skills.
The Organizing Fellowship
program is open in states and regions across the country. Fellows would be
hired for a fixed-term, part-time paid position from now through the midterms.
If you know someone who would be excited to help us #DoTheWork, please share our application form and encourage them to check it out and apply
today!
This week’s policy rundown
Congress has wrapped up
most of its work until late September, but there’s still a lot happening in the
courts:
- Attacks on immigrant families
continue. Any
day now, a court in Texas will rule on the whether the DACA program will be allowed to continue, possibly further threatening
the lives of 800,000 DACA recipients. Additionally, the administration is
planning to issue a new anti-immigrant and anti-family regulation that
would punish immigrant families for being poor, and for using services for
which they are eligible. For more info check out resources from our immigration partners. Keep your eyes on our social
media @IndivisibleTeam for the latest updates.
- We’re getting close to Trump’s
next chance to shut down the government. Congress
will have to pass a government funding bill at the end of September to
keep its doors open through the end of the year. Trump wants to hold this
funding hostage unless the Democrats cave in to his demands to build his
border wall and dramatically overhaul our system of legal immigration.
Democrats will need to hold strong against Trump’s white supremacist
agenda if they want to keep their momentum going into November.
- Visit trumpthreatlevel.indivisible.org for a running list of all the
ways Trump makes us less safe this week, and review our latest foreign policy resources to take
action.
