I am sending this email to introduce myself and ask that you share this with your membership.

I’m Roy David Walker, a scientist, running for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture to preserve and protect our environment and to grow our economy.

Over the last 20 plus years, leaders in Tallahassee have chosen the money that lines their pockets over the protection of our people and the protection our natural resources. We need a scientist, not a Lobbyist or politician, in Tallahassee!

I believe Florida deserves someone who understands the connection between our environment and our economy: We deserve a champion who will fight policies influenced by special interest, threatening that weaken our environmental protection.

I am the most qualified candidate to run for Commissioner of Agriculture in over two decades. I have a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Management / Environmental Planning, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science / Fish & Wildlife Management.

Currently, I am the President of South Florida Audubon Society. As as a scientist I have spent most of my professional life working for the:

•   U.S. Geological Survey
•   National Park Service
•   Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission     

Florida needs a scientist to protect our natural resources. I need your help to vote out the science deniers and hold those accountable who pollute our waterways.

I am that scientist. I am  part of a new generation of leaders committed to conserving our environment, water and protecting our consumers My conservation and environmental experiences provide a solid foundation required for work at the Department of Agriculture.
