Tribunals are moments of truth telling and moral reckoning. The Rising Majority tribunal comes at a time of critical crisis in our country. Wildfires are burning out of control. The postal service is being defunded ahead of a critical presidential election. Black folks are still dying at the hands of police. Indigenous water protectors are being arrested. Americans continue to lose their jobs and housing during a global pandemic. Immigrant detainees are being forced to have hysterectomies en masse. And a Supreme Court seat hangs in the balance.
The system is working exactly as it should — by failing us. So join us on October 17 and 18 to hold the system accountable.
In front of a panel of esteemed guest judges — including Angela Davis, Tom Goldtooth, Arundhati Roy, Raquel Willis, and Albert Woodfox —we will put the current system on trial, outlining all the ways in which it has harmed our communities. And then, together, we will envision the world we so desperately want and outline the steps we can take to create it. We invite you to bring your stories, your families, and your biggest, boldest visions for a just world.

Contingency Plan for Trump Claiming Victory Regardless of Results
Leah and Ezra here, we’re two of the co-founders of Indivisible. We won’t sugarcoat it. Every day it is becoming more clear that Trump will likely attempt to cling to power if he loses. News just broke that his campaign is in the process of discussing contingency plans to bypass election results and appoint loyal electors in battleground states where Republicans hold the legislative majority. While in any other time in American history this news may have come as a bombshell, this is now entirely predictable.
With an unprecedented level of vote-by-mail in November, we likely won’t know who won until days or even weeks after Election Day. Why does this matter? Well, Trump is likely to claim victory on election night regardless of the results and he will label mail-in ballots as a fraud.
Luckily, Indivisible Action has already been working on a contingency plan. It’s called Protect the Results — a joint effort between 40 (and counting!) partner organizations to prepare for a mass mobilization if Trump loses the election and refuses to leave office.
This plan involves a massive amount of effort and resources — $1.2 million dollars to be exact — to build the digital ads and infrastructure needed to respond. It is up to us to protect our Democracy, and we need your help now more than ever. Donate now to Protect the Results and support the general mission of Indivisible Action. We're coming down to the wire and still need volunteers--for lit drops, texts, phone, and poll watching!
What: Get-Out-the-Vote! DEMs with VBM
When: Sat, Sep 26 - Mon, Oct 19
Mail ballots will begin to be delivered to voters on Sept. 24th. We need to contact DEMs with vote-by-mail (VBM) to educate them on how to return their ballots to ensure they are counted. Many are voting by mail for the first time and may be confused by misinformation. We will inform them about Drop Boxes, deadlines, and how to track their ballot online, among other things. Since we can't canvass voters, we'll chat with DEMs who have cell phones via text messages, call DEMs with landlines only, and hang information on the doors of VBM DEMs with no listed phone number.
