Commerce Committee meeting Thursday, 03/21/19, 12:00 pm

Email or call your Representative and urge that he or she vote NO on HB 3 - Preemption of Local Regulations  and vote YES on HB 397 - Professional Regulation at the House Commerce Committee meeting next Thursday, 03/21/19, 12:00 pm.

Vote NO         HB 3 - Preemption of Local Regulations Prohibits local governments from imposing or adopting new regulations on businesses and business entities. It threatens to roll back local progress toward equality that currently protects 13 million Floridians. It threatens local employment, housing, and public accommodations protections. It threatens bans on conversion therapy, fracking, plastic bags and straws.
Vote YES       HB 397 - Professional Regulation   Prohibits conviction of a crime 5 years before a license application date as grounds for denial. Provides a second chance for returning citizens and reduces barriers to gainful employment for those seeking to support themselves and their families.
