Indivisible St Johns Newsletter Week of October 13, 2019

 YOUR WEEKLY RESISTANCE NEWSLETTER
WEEK OF OCTOBER 13, 2019

We're gonna be frank. We need some help from you. We understand
you get way too many requests to do something, somewhere, sometime. We've had a busy year with a small but dedicated team
of leaders. For the last few newsletters, we've asked for you to email
us to help us out. No one has responded. For a reminder, we're listing
most of the things we've brought to you this year. Some are missing in
the blur of activity everywhere. It takes thought, time and energy to make these happen. We will not be able to sustain this pace without your help. Consider what just 3-4 people pulled off this year:

We went to Tallahassee to advocate for Indivisible values

We participated in rallies for LGBTQ, Families Belong
Together Rally, Lights for Liberty co Sponsor, protest on
International Childrens Day, co sponsored Climate change
student march and organized the Rockin Our Rights event
among other actions.

We held socials at local restaurants once a month.

If there are other things you want, tell us. We tried to respond to everyone's requests this year. We will not be able to do this level of activity unless we get your help. Don't assume someone else will
sign up. They don't. It's on all of us to continue the resistance. Please.

UUJF invites all UUs and friends to participate in this important annual event.
This is your opportunity to visit our state capitol, have dinner

your state legislators to vote on issues important to us as UUs.
The next day we meet with our legislators or their staff in their offices.
Lodging (for UU members only)is included free of charge

Blue Wave Coalition of St. Johns County
Fall NPA Outreach Canvass

St. Johns County has nearly as many non-party affiliated (NPA) voters
as Democrats, but many of them are left-leaning. Join us as
we reach out to left-leaning NPAs
and offer them the opportunity to change parties so they can vote in the
 March Presidential Preference Primary!
As a canvasser, you will be paired with another person and visit
just 20 homes of targeted voters.
All training and materials will be provided, along with
 snacks and refreshments.

We will use a strategy that will help us first identify whether the voter
is a Trump supporter. If they are not, we'll remind them that Florida
is a closed primary state and if they would like to help Democrats
pick someone to oppose him, they need to register as a DEM.

We will have voter registration forms on hand to facilitate party changes.
We are likely to have some pretty interesting conversations!
Let's have fun experimenting with this strategy -- Blue Tsunami's all around
for returning canvassers!

Date: 10/26/2019 (Sat.)
Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm EDT
Location: 143 Appaloosa Avenue, St Augustine FL 32095
